Our kindergarten offers teaching English for preschool children because we are aware that it is never too early to start with foreign languages. It is well known that children start to learn languages early. The most important period for languages is from birth to the age of six (also according to the Montessori education). Children learn foreign languages by playing, dancing, singing, imitating – in the same way as they learn their mother tongue and very early start to speak their first foreign words. The practice has shown that a stimulating, pleasant and safe environment and use of appropriate methods and tools helps to achieve exceptional results. Learning foreign languages has a very good influence also upon development of children’s native language.
